depending on the pairing, I’d be even more interested in reading. because, if you write a pairing you don’t ship, usually you’re doing it for someone else as a gift, which means you’ll work twice as hard to actually make the pairing *work* in your own head as well as for the person you’re gifting. you’ll be extra critical because you will NOT want to screw up.
which, in my experience, makes for much better fic.
